I love P day! I am usually able to 'chat' live with Elder Martin, and being able to have a little one on one time with him really buoys me up to face the week ahead. But, it also makes me miss him. I love the pictures he sends, his smiling face lets me know that he is okay and that he loves being a missionary. I am so very grateful for the people around him. Monday night, I received this text message:
"Hi missionary moms! Your two sons were at my house for dinner tonight. This is the second time I have had them over and I adore both of them. They are polite, well mannered, interesting to talk to and so, so, so much more. You should be so proud and pleased with your sons. I live near their apartment and I see them several times throughout the week riding their bikes through our VERY hilly neighborhood. Each time I see them I think to myself, "if my son grows up to serve a mission and work as hard as they do, nothing would make me happier." Thank you for raising such amazing young men and sharing them with our ward. We are so blessed to have them here in Santa Clarita."
Wow! It totally made my night. What a sweet sister. Yes, we are very pleased with him, but I don't feel like I can take any credit for the incredible human being that he is. He just came to me that way.
